"Parents, grandparents, and other family members hold a wealth of life experience that can fascinate the younger generation as well as teach values, provide meaning, and offer a context for exploring origins and identity. Stories can even help us to grieve and to heal."

Scientific research shows that many times personal problems arise when there is a gap in our personal story. Story-gaps are usually caused by emotional wounds that are created during the normal ups and downs of life. On occasion, we are so emotionally jarred that a major section of our story is lost or damaged and must be rebuilt from scratch.
