The decline in literature indicates a decline in the nation. The two keep pace in their downward tendency.

Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe

As wonderful as storytelling is for children, it is not just for them. On the contrary, throughout most of its existence, storytelling has been primarily for adults. It is a powerful tool for teaching, healing, raising sensibilities, increasing memory, and developing character.

Storytelling Festivals for Adults
Although most storytelling festivals have certain periods of the day, or certain sections that are oriented towards children, for the most part storytelling festivals are an adult affair. The tales tend to play on a level that more easily connects with the diverse and varied experiences of adults, rather than the somewhat limited experiences of children.
