Well, the first thing you have to do is to decide if this will be a "drop-in" event or "big" event. Generally, if this is your first event planning of any kind then the "Drop-in" event will probably be the best place to start. It can be done in your own home or a small venue and you do not need to worry about the logistics that comes with a lot of people.
